Announcement: New Editor-in-Chief at Divergent Options

I am honored and excited to announce that I have assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief at Divergent Options, a platform for writers to share their insights on national security. This website has established itself as an unbiased and valuable resource for authors around the globe, and I am deeply grateful for the foundational work done by Phil Walter, who has made Divergent Options a resounding success. I cannot thank him enough for placing his trust in me to take the reins.

A bit about myself: I am a career Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, and a graduate of the Secretary of Defense’s Strategic Thinkers Program at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. My career has afforded me a range of experiences, having served in light, Stryker, and airborne assignments across the Army, and recently working in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security. My writing has primarily focused on defense strategy, large scale combat operations, civil-military relations, and emerging technologies—all areas that I am passionate about.

I am also humbled to be working alongside Steve Leonard and Robert Hein. Together, we are excited about the direction Divergent Options is headed and the opportunities that lie ahead.

As the new Editor-in-Chief, I am committed to continuing to promote Divergent Options as an inclusive forum for authors from all walks of life and levels of experience. We strive to make Divergent Options a welcoming place for writers to get their ideas published and to contribute to the broader discourse on national security. You will likely notice a few changes in the coming weeks – mostly aesthetic – and the site may even be down for a bit to apply updates.

Feel free to reach out at submissions@divergentoptions.org

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to engaging with you through the exciting work we will be publishing.
